When should I get surgery for bunions?
I am taking a Zpack for a sinus infection (Prednisone) and it has reduced the infection quite a bit on day 3 but when I went walking for 2.5 miles today I noticed that my hip pain on my right side has also gone away!
I am 8 and I am here
I find these videos very interesting because I have to have a knee replacement
I had a part on the replacement three years ago had to look at my knee. You wouldn't think I had one at all. My scar is almost invisible and my knee looks normal. I'm going in for my other knee evaluation today. I'm going to to do my other knee this year. I think it was a great option!

I am only 47 and i will have to undergo knee replacement.i don't know what will happen after 15 years when I will be only 62 years..i am worried.. please..tell me about this because golden knee's lifespan is 15 to 20years
Your weird
good video
Im 33 years old and im in this position dealing with daily pain but im scared to keep getting more surgery 😥 God please guide me 🙏🏽
Its rare surgeons tell you how long it takes to fully recover, cuz it usually takes about a year to walk with no limp
Thank you but that recovery time 🤮
Me
I had this exact procedure done 5 weeks ago. Greatest decision I’ve ever made. Thank you Dr. Munn for your expertise. You’ve given me a new lease on life and I’m so grateful. ✌️💪💯
God bless you Peter 🙏🏽
I had a complete knee replacement two years ago July 5th best thing I could have done. Good luck to whomever is having it done.
That was very interesting thank you
OMG sking at six months!
Thank you for this video I have this surgery coming very soon in my future.
literally showed nothing of the actual details of the surgery.
I had my left foot done in '14 and I just had the new lapiplasty surgery May 9th and he also sanded a bone spur on the top of the foot. Most the pain was my arms the first week getting used to the crutches 😂 I just can't wait to start walking again on the foot.
I recently had my total knee replacement surgery. I have needed it for quite some time. It has been 4 days now. I came across your video and it truly opened up my eyes. I really do have great things to look forward to. You have been so incredibly inspiring to look at you actually getting your life back. I will work as hard as I saw you working. I am so ready to do this now. Because of your video, I know I too can do it! Thank you.
Had a full tear on my pcl acl and mcl. Still recovering 4 years on
Ok, this was 5 years ago. Is this the standard procedure now? Or, at least WAY more commonplace? Shots are no longer very effective for me, all knee left cartilage removed 30 years ago from sports injury, so TKR is in my future within 8 months.
I am almost 5 months post-op from my Direct Anterior THR on my right hip. Was diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my right hip around this time last year after getting x-rays done. Had been walking around with a pretty bad limp on the right side for roughly 2 years. Was referred to what turned out to be an EXCELLENT orthopedic surgeon. He suggested surgery bcz of the severity of my hip. I will say that I am so thankful I got it done. Had spinal anesthetic, but also had a nerve block in my hip on top of that. The stuff they give you in the IV definitely makes you sleepy. I remember nothing of my surgery. I was wheeled into surgery from pre-op and next thing I know I'm waking up in post-op to see my older brother's face. My surgery was outpatient, but not all are. I also was only out of work 4 weeks from my job. No restrictions. Just had to be careful. I will say that my surgeon didn't prescribe outpatient PT, but I did have at home exercises to do on top of A LOT of walking. Used a walker for 1st week and then a cane for a few weeks after . To anyone who is considering THR, do not hesitate. Yes, it can be scary, but totally worth it.
i broke both of mine 😭
I feel the array adds to post op pain & swelling
I’m only 10.
That’s encouraging to hear!
That grinding sound give me the cringe, its like nails on a chalk board. There no way i could assist lol
So are you able to lift heavy weights after the recovery. Can you bemchpress 140 kg?
thankx.
What you do if patella has arthritis and the tendon is involved. Do you remove or replace patella?.
If youre having a uni replacement, this is the only way to do it!! Mako!!
Hello,Im 20 years old, when i was younger i was skating for 3 years and i had so many direct hits and blows right in the elbow and especially in the olecranon.Somtimes i was feeling like I had broke it.When i stop skateboarding i didn't have any pain but 2 years later(now)my olecranon started to hurt so much. It is Very very sensitive even with the touch.I mean i can't even rest my hand in the table.i have this pain for 9moths now.The MRI say's that i have edema(post traumatic origin) in the olecranon and high intensity signals with T2 sequences with fat suppression.Maybe i have bone morrow edema.what surgical options i have to relieve from this sensitive olecranon and avoid as much as possible post-traumatic arthritis? can somehow a bone graft help? Thanks
I am three months out. Before surgery I was walking 5 miles a day. Back to it but not so comfortable. I still have some swelling and pain in both the groin and back of my hip that is exacerbated with activity. Being athletic I am used to a bit of pain so I am mostly ignoring this albeit harder to do so at night when there is less to distract me. Two am podcasts are becoming a thing.
Was this a total knee replacement? It looked like a partial medial knee surgery? I do not have 24/7 pain. I effectively manage painful inflammation with shredded fresh ginger poultices. I do have right medial bone on bone. I have seen the X-rays. I use an unloader brace. At 65, retiring in June 2025, should I get the surgery in Dec 2024 before I give up the employer based insurance? That bone on bone rub from time to time is creepy, and painful. I want it healed by God, or by surgery before it progresses into worse territory.
I chose a partial knee replacement in 2018 at 46 years old. I continued to play tennis until February 2023 when I finally had to give it up. Although I recovered quickly and was able to walk on it the evening of the surgery, it never was “normal”. Each morning I can barely walk. It swells and stiffens whenever I don’t move it regularly or walk too much. I’m beginning to consider a TKR. Good luck all ! My recommendation is wait as long as possible, find a great surgeon and get a second opinion!
I just had my 2nd tailors bunion surgery. The first one on my other foot was a little over 5 weeks ago. I did not take any opiod medications. I see that several people had severe pain, but I was uncomfortable for only a few days and only took ibuprofen and Tylenol. Pain is different for individuals.
Was just diagnosed with mild acetubular dysplasia at 19. Trying to figure out what it means and what i can do for it
No running???? ☹️
My back pain is in my lower left back and it occurs when I right kick to the left and twist my torso the other way so that means it's a muscle or ligament and I shouldn't be worried right?
I also suggest wiggling the fingers a bit to keep the hand from. Swelling
Time from skin to skin please ???????????? ............. enjoy
APIKMEN VIDEO MU BRO
I had a TKR in 2020. It was swollen before surgery and still is. I put in the work, but I do not have the same range of motion as Jane. I was told I would not get full range because TKR are not designed that way. I have to have my other knee done. Is this a special type of replacement?
swollen?...have you checked on blood work for infections?...i had that done before my TKR but usually infections get worse if not taken care of...and i wouldn't worry about getting full range of motion like in your youth...and if your other knee needs it, by all means...just make sure it is the same size; because for instance if your teeth filling is off just by a tiny hair, it is very uncomfortable when you bite down...so same size will prevent waddling...and modern TKR have innovated technology and digital precision and should last 15 years...and true, TKR are not designed to give you a new knee like in our youth but it fixes the problem of arthritis, loss cartilage, bone mass, pain etc from the years of constant banging on our knees like long distant running, biking etc...and everyone is different in regards to recovery time such as your physical fitness before, age etc ...don't compare yourself with others...just keep at it and one day, you will say "dang i did it and i have close to full range"...blessings...
Trust me it hurts like hell 🤬🤯
I don't believe you answered the question entirely. What happens if bunions get worse is the real question? Does one's foot joint break to the point that it can't be repaired?
Har ha, I typed putting my pants on.
Sorry to be a balloon buster, but this video is bullshit. The vast majority of patients do not have this experience. It is incredibly painful, not to mention depressing. Not for all, but for most. I could not be happier for this woman… But it’s simply not representative of most patient experiences.
Great Video !
